Velociraptor Skull
This is the skull of Velociraptor mongoliensis from the Flaming Cliffs of Mongolia. Velociraptor was a pack hunting, turkey sized predator that lived 73 million years ago. They were agile, swift and deadly to anything the pack wanted to kill. It is now known that most raptors had feathers and looked very similar to modern birds of prey. This skull, sculpted by paleoartist, Zach Coker demonstrates just how petite the Velociraptors actually were, but this didn’t make them any less lethal.
