Utahraptor 1/6 Scale MMDN7039 $149.99

Utahraptor 1/6 Scale MMDN7039 $149.99

Utahraptor lived during the Early Cretaceous period, 125 million years ago in Eastern Utah and probably other areas in the American West.

The rock formation where Utahraptor was discovered is known as the Cedar Mountain Formation.

At present, it appears that Utahraptor was the top predator in its ecosystem and we know it directly preyed upon Iguanodon and possibly may have even taken down such behemoths as Cedarosaurus.

Equipped with enormous claws on both its hands and feet, Utahraptor is among the largest Dromaeosaur type dinosaur known.

WACO CG-4A GLIDER 1/35th Scale MMAC001 WWII Series $249.99

Waco CG 4A Glider 1/35th Scale MMAC001 WWII Series $249.99

The Waco CG 4A glider was the most used US troop and military glider of WWII.  While the USAF called it the CG-4A, the British military referred to it as the Hadrian (after the historic emperor of Rome).

The Waco Aircraft Company designed the glider and fights were first tested in May 1942. The Waco Aircraft Company built and delivered in excess of 13,900 CG-4A gliders.

The structure was built from wood and metal and then it was covered in fabric. A crew consisted of a pilot and a copilot. The glider featured two main control wheels and a tail wheel. The glider could carry up to 13 troop and equipment.  Furthermore, the hinged nose could be swung upward to load a 1/4 ton truck, such as a Jeep, a 75mm howitzer or a 1/4 trailer.

These gliders were usually towed behind a C-47 aircraft, and a few C-46s during and after Operation Plunder.  The glider was towed behind these planes via a 11/16” diameter, 350’ long tow line.

This is a limited edition resin assembly kit for advanced builders. We cast to order every kit.  Please allow 15 days for processing.

Massive Ordnance Air Blast

The basic operational concept of the Massive Ordnance Air Blast bears some similarity to the BLU-82 Daisy Cutter.  Pentagon officials suggested that the MOAB be used as an anti-personnel weapon, as part of the “shock and awe” strategy integral to the 2003 invasion of Iraq.

Archaeopteryx, MMDIN7037 Mini Plate measures 4.25X5.75 or 112X148mm $14.99

Archaeopteryx

The Archaeopteryx ,MMDIN7037 Mini Plate measures 4.25X5.75 or 112X148mm $14.99 cast resin display piece. sculpture by Zach Corker

Archaeopteryx, meaning “first wing” (sometimes referred to by its German name Urvogel (“original bird” or “first bird”)), is a genus of bird-like dinosaurs.  It’s considered a transitional species between non-avian feathered dinosaurs and modern birds.

It had been generally accepted by paleontologists and popular reference books as the oldest known bird.

This most primitive of all birds lived in the Late Jurassic around 150 million years ago, in what is now southern Germany.  It exhisted during a time when Europe was an archipelago of islands in a shallow warm tropical sea, much closer to the equator than it is now.

The largest species of Archaeopteryx could grow to about 0.5 m (1 ft 8 in) in length. Despite their small size, broad wings, and inferred ability to fly or glide, Archaeopteryx had more in common with other small Mesozoic dinosaurs than with modern birds.

Trilobite Cast From Actual Fossil

Trilobite Cast From Actual Fossil

Trilobite Cast From Actual Fossil – This is a 1 to 1 scale Trilobite.  The trilobite is 3″ across and sits on a base that is 5″ across.

Trilobite Cast From Actual Fossil

Trilobites (meaning three lobes) are a fossil group of extinct marine arachnomorph arthropods that form the class Trilobita.  Trilobites form one of the earliest known groups of arthropods.

The first appearance of trilobites in the fossil record defines the base of the Atdabanian stage of the Early Cambrian period (521 million years ago), and they flourished throughout the lower Paleozoic era before beginning a drawn-out decline to extinction when, during the Devonian, all trilobite orders except the Proetids died out.

Trilobites disappeared in the mass extinction at the end of the Permian about 252 million years ago.  The trilobites were among the most successful of all early animals, roaming the oceans for over 270 million years.
